What does being “fit” or “in shape” mean to you? The answer depends on your training age, experience, and what you perceive is possible. No matter what your goals, following a program consistently will lead you on the road to success. Here’s a snapshot of what the ideal training program includes:
01
Movement Assessment - Everybody is different, therefore every body is different. A good trainer will observe clients’ movements and recognize their Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats. They will determine what movements and muscle groups are strong enough to be challenged at the next level. Weaknesses, or imbalances, are identified and provide an opportunity to see what can be improved to prevent injury (threats to your health) throughout training and everyday life. When a trainer sees how you move, they can determine how to best coach you.
02
Exercise Routines - Your prescribed program is tailored to you based off of your movement assessment and current lifestyle. Whether it’s your first time stepping into a gym or you’re a former collegiate athlete, you’ll have a flexible plan to follow on the days you meet with your trainer and on your own.
03
Coaching and Accountability - Your trainer is your biggest fan and the set of eyes you need to see that the prescribed exercises are being done correctly. Training sessions allow you to get face time with your trainer and instant feedback on the movements being taught. Showing up to the session will help you get to your goals, but the real work is everything you do outside the session.
